{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-118.255","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 118.255","heading":"Fees.","body":"(1) The Secretary of State shall receive a fee of five hundred dollars ($500) for a\ncandidate for statewide elected state office or the Congress, two hundred dollars\n($200) for a candidate for Commonwealth's attorney, the General Assembly, or the\nDistrict Court, Circuit Court, Court of Appeals, or Supreme Court, twenty dollars\n($20) for candidates for a city office, fifty dollars ($50) for other candidates who file\nwith the Secretary of State for each notification and declaration and petition filed\nwith him, and fifty dollars ($50) for a write-in candidate for office, to be paid by the\ncandidate, or the candidate's representative, when the notification and declaration\nand petition or declaration of intent is filed.\n(2) The county clerk shall receive a fee pursua nt to KRS 64.012 for each notification\nand declaration and petition filed with him to be paid by the candidate at the time of\nthe filing.","path":["KRS Chapter 118"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=43797","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:15Z","sha256":"aec0c936a111b43fc40ab00b8b05e62ed80612b49fe6d074c8d47e28bd94da7f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-118.250","next":"us-ky/krs-118.260"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
