{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-118.385","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 118.385","heading":"Preservation of certain voting records.","body":"(1) The Secretary of State and county clerks shall preserve in their respective offices all\ncertificates and petitions of nomination filed therein, for six (6) months after the\nelection for which the nominations were made.\n(2) Each county clerk and the Secreta ry of State shall retain and preserve, for a period\nof twenty -two (22) months from the date of any primary or general or special\nelection at which candidates for the office of presidential elector or member of the\nUnited States Senate or House of Represent atives are voted for, and only for the\nprecincts in which any such office appears on the ballot all records and papers\nrelative to the voter returns for all the offices voted for in those precincts.","path":["KRS Chapter 118"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=27635","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:15Z","sha256":"0e6df1926905017b6b4a67550fcfb9b4d0aaa58d5b97fb133b6ec48958930d62","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-118.380","next":"us-ky/krs-118.387"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
