{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-11a.050","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 11A.050","heading":"Financial disclosure by officers, candidates, and public servants.","body":"(1) Each officer, each public servant listed in KRS 11A.010(9)(a) to (g), and each\ncandidate shall file a statement of financial disclosure with the commission, as\nfollows:\n(a) Each officer shall file the statement within thirty (30) days of employment as\nan officer, and each officer who occupies his or her position during any\nportion of a calendar year shall file the statement for that portion of the\ncalendar year he or she occupied the position on or before April 15 of the\nfollowing year, whether or not he or she remains an officer;\n(b) Each public servant listed in KRS 11A.010(9)(a) to (g) who occupies his or\nher position during any portion of a calendar year shall file the statement for\nthat portion of the calendar year he or she occupied the position on  or before\nApril 15 of the following year, whether or not he or she remains a public\nservant as listed in KRS 11A.010(9)(a) to (g);\n(c) Each officer and public servant listed in KRS 11A.010(9)(a) to (g) who does\nnot remain an officer or public servant list ed in KRS 11A.010(9)(a) to (g) for\nthe entire calendar year shall file the statement for the portion of the calendar\nyear that the person served as an officer or public servant listed in KRS\n11A.010(9)(a) to (g). The statement shall be filed with the commi ssion within\nthirty (30) days after the date the person no longer serves as an officer or\npublic servant listed in KRS 11A.010(9)(a) to (g);\n(d) A candidate shall file the statement reflecting the previous calendar year with\nthe commission no later than February 15; and\n(e) Each candidate elected to serve as a public servant in a position listed in KRS\n11A.010(9)(a) to (g) shall, within ten (10) days of taking the oath of office for\nthe position to which he or she was elected, file a statement of financial\ndisclosure with the commission for the calendar year in which the election\nwas held.\n(2) The statement of financial disclosure shall be filed on a form prescribed by the\ncommission. The commission shall provide copies of the form upon request without\ncharge.\n(3) The statement shall include the following information for the preceding calendar\nyear:\n(a) Name and entire residential and business address of filer;\n(b) Title of position or office whereby filing is required;\n(c) Any other occupations of filer and spouse;\n(d) Positions held by the filer or his or her spouse in any business, and the name\nand address of the business;\n(e) Name and address of any employer by whom the filer was employed for the\none (1) year period immediately prior to becoming an officer , not including\nthose listed in paragraph (d) of this subsection;\n(f) Names and addresses of all businesses in which the filer, his or her spouse, or\ndependent children has or had an interest of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) at\nfair market value or five percent (5%) ownership interest or more;\n(g) The name and address of any source of gross income exceeding one thousand\ndollars ($1,000) from any one (1) source to the filer, his or her spouse, or\ndependent child, as well as information concerning the nature of the business,\nand the form of the income;\n(h) Any representation or intervention for compensation by the filer or his or her\nspouse for any person or business before a state agency for which the filer\nworks or supervises or before any entity of state government for which the\nfiler would serve in  a decision -making capacity, including the name and\naddress of the person or business;\n(i) All positions of a fiduciary nature held by the filer or his or her spouse in a\nbusiness, including the name and address of the business;\n(j) Information, including a street address or location, regarding any real property\nin which there is an interest of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) or more held by\nthe filer, his or her spouse, or dependent children;\n(k) Sources, including each source's name and address, of gifts o f money or\nproperty with a retail value of more than two hundred dollars ($200) from any\none (1) source to the filer, his or her spouse, or dependent children, except\nthose from a member of the filer's family;\n(l) Identity, including an address, of credito rs owed more than ten thousand\ndollars ($10,000), except debts arising from the purchase of consumer goods;\nand\n(m) Names and addresses of family members of the filer or persons with whom the\nfiler was engaged in a business who are registered as legislativ e agents under\nKRS 6.807 or executive agency lobbyists under KRS 11A.211.\nParagraphs (a) to (m) of this subsection shall not require disclosure of specific\ndollar amounts or of privileged information.","path":["KRS Chapter 11A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=51293","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:28Z","sha256":"5ec224cc1110133c6344f7d300b9a063f8734353051f815a990608928dd35f03","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-11a.047","next":"us-ky/krs-11a.055"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
