{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-11a.226","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 11A.226","heading":"Dispute resolution with respect to statements of expenditures and","body":"statements of financial transactions.\n(1) If a dispute arises between an elected executive official, the secretary of a cabinet\nlisted in KRS 12.250, an executive agency official, or an y member of the staff of\nany of those officials and a real party in interest, an employer, or an executive\nagency lobbyist with respect to an expenditure or financial transaction alleged in a\nstatement to be filed under KRS 11A.216 or 11A.221, the official , employee, real\nparty in interest, employer, or executive agency lobbyist may file a complaint with\nthe commission. The commission shall investigate the complaint.\n(2) The complaint shall be filed at least three (3) days prior to the time the statement is\nrequired to be filed with the commission. The time for filing a disputed expenditure\nor financial transaction in any statement of expenditures or the details of a financial\ntransaction shall be extended pending the final decision of the commission. This\nextension does not extend the time for filing the nondisputed portions of either type\nof statement. The commission shall notify the parties of its final decision by\ncertified mail. If the commission decides the disputed expenditure or financial\ntransaction should be reported, the employer, a real party in interest, or the\nexecutive agency lobbyist shall include the matter in an amended statement and file\nthe amended statement not later than ten (10) days after receiving notice of the\ndecision of the commission by certified mail.\n(3) An employer, executive agency lobbyist, or real party in interest who files a false\nstatement of expenditures or details of a financial transaction is liable in a civil\naction to any official or employee who sustains damage as a r esult of the filing or\npublication of the statement.","path":["KRS Chapter 11A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=611","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:28Z","sha256":"791582b5c2a64b17454018bf792e8d51899c2ed4d1086886ab3e939de22441c5","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-11a.221","next":"us-ky/krs-11a.231"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
