{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-121.250","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 121.250","heading":"Political issues committee -- Contributions and expenditures from foreign","body":"national prohibited -- Independent expenditures -- Certification, reporting,\nand recordkeeping requirements.\n(1) Upon registering a political issues committee, the trea surer shall file an\naccompanying certification that no preliminary activity was directly or indirectly\nfunded by a foreign national.\n(2) After a political issues committee has been registered, the committee shall not\nknowingly or willfully receive, solicit , or accept contributions or expenditures that\nare directly or indirectly funded by a foreign national.\n(3) A political issues committee shall affirm in its report that it has not knowingly or\nwillfully received, solicited, or accepted contributions or exp enditures from a\nforeign national.\n(4) Any person who makes an independent expenditure in support or opposition of a\nballot measure shall keep records of any contribution or independent expenditure\nand retain those records for six (6) years following the d ate the contribution or\nexpenditure was made.\n(5) A political issues committee that receives a contribution or makes expenditures\nshall keep records of any contribution received or expenditure made and retain\nthose records for six (6) years following the d ate the contribution was received or\nthe expenditure was made.","path":["KRS Chapter 121"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56180","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:18Z","sha256":"e2e89d681ad0294469e87e04f582454e707fcc6b26b799cd3c0dded63c2af637","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-121.230","next":"us-ky/krs-121.252"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
