{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-131.618","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 131.618","heading":"Disclosure of records by commissioner and Attorney General -- Authority","body":"to require submission of additional information.\n(1) Notwithstanding KRS 131.190, the commissioner is authorized to disclose to the\nAttorney General the name and address of a st amping agent or distributor and the\nnumber of sticks by brand name that have been purchased from a nonparticipating\nmanufacturer and have been stamped with Kentucky stamps by that agent or\ndistributor. The Attorney General may share this information with f ederal, other\nstate, or local agencies only for the purposes of enforcement of KRS 131.600 to\n131.630 or corresponding laws of other states. The Attorney General is further\nauthorized to disclose to a nonparticipating manufacturer or its importers this\ninformation that has been provided by a stamping agent regarding the purchases\nfrom that nonparticipating manufacturer or its importers. This information provided\nby a stamping agent may be used in any enforcement action against the\nnonparticipating manufacturer or its importers by the Attorney General.\n(2) In addition to the information required to be submitted pursuant to KRS 131.608,\n131.614, and 131.620, the Attorney General or the commissioner may require a\nstamping agent, distributor, participating manuf acturer, nonparticipating\nmanufacturer, or a nonparticipating manufacturer's importers to submit any\nadditional information including but not limited to samples of the packaging or\nlabeling of each brand family as is necessary to enable the Attorney Genera l to\ndetermine whether the participating manufacturer or the nonparticipating\nmanufacturer and its importers are in compliance with KRS 131.600 to 131.630.","path":["KRS Chapter 131"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=44706","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:22Z","sha256":"72b0ac6587aedeaaf51344deb8f952f3ffc023b6ae2af7f52c56a8e34fed8eb3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-131.616","next":"us-ky/krs-131.620"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
