{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-132.120","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 132.120","heading":"Certification of question -- Vote on referendum -- Certification and","body":"publication of results -- Expenses.\n(1) The Secretary of State shall certify to the county clerk of each county, not less than\ntwenty (20) days before the next general election, the substance of the act or the\nparts of the act that are to be voted upon, and the county clerk shall have the same,\nas certified by the Secretary of State, appear before the voters. The elector shall\ndesignate his vote by a \"Yes\" or \"No\" vote.  The votes cas t for and against the\nmeasure shall be counted, canvassed and certified to the State Board of Elections in\nthe same manner as the votes upon constitutional amendments.\n(2) If it is found that a majority of votes cast on the measure are in favor thereof, the act\nor the part of the act voted upon shall become effective. The result of the vote shall\nbe published by the Secretary of State pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
