Courses may be created and\ntaught by department personnel or the department may adopt specific courses\noffered by appropriate professional organizations.\n(2) The department shall develop and administer, in cooperation with the property\nvaluation administrators, a certification program for property valuation\nadministrators, deputy property valuation administrators, and depa rtment\nemployees. A professional designation, \"certified Kentucky assessor\" (CKA), shall\nbe awarded to those individuals successfully meeting the standards established by\nthis program. Minimum requirements shall include one hundred twenty (120) hours\nof classroom instruction, passage of subject matter examinations, and three (3) years\nof experience in Kentucky property tax administration. An advanced designation,\n\"senior Kentucky assessor\" (SKA), shall be awarded to those individuals\nsuccessfully completing an additional ninety (90) hours of classroom instruction,\npassage of subject matter examinations, and an additional two (2) years of\nexperience in Kentucky property tax administration.
