{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-132.597","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 132.597","heading":"Expense allowance for property valuation administrators who meet","body":"stipulated requirements -- Annual professional instruction.\n(1) The property valuation administrator of each county shall receive an annual\nexpense allowance of three thousand six h undred dollars ($3,600) to be paid from\nthe State Treasury in monthly installments of three hundred dollars ($300). Property\nvaluation administrators shall not be required to keep records verifying\nexpenditures from this expense allowance.\n(2) The expense allowance provided in subsection (1) of this section shall be used by\nthe property valuation administrator for expenses incurred in the performance of his\nduties. The allowance is to provide the necessary funds for payment of all\nexpenditures of the property valuation administrator not directly associated with the\nassessment of property in his particular county.\n(3) Each property valuation administrator shall annually, within each calendar year,\nparticipate in a minimum of thirty (30) classroom hours of pro fessional instruction\nconducted or approved by the Department of Revenue. Any property valuation\nadministrator failing to meet the department's requirements for any calendar year\nshall not receive the three thousand six hundred dollar ($3,600) annual expen se\nallowance provided in subsection (1) of this section for the subsequent calendar\nyear.\n(4) The annual requirement for participation in classroom instruction shall be reduced\nto fifteen (15) hours for any property valuation administrator awarded the \"sen ior\nKentucky assessor\" (SKA) professional designation under the provisions of KRS\n132.385.","path":["KRS Chapter 132"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=28299","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:24Z","sha256":"ded4382287a053e4c298d3355dcecdf0e062163335e3767027f51f42da974f43","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-132.595","next":"us-ky/krs-132.600"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
