{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-136.190","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 136.190","heading":"Boundary report of cities of the home rule class and taxing districts.","body":"(1) The superintendent of schools in each district in which any individual, group of\nindividuals or corporation, operates public utility or other franchise taxpaying\nproperty assessed under KRS 136.120 shall, on or before the first day of January,\n1957, furnish to the county clerk of the county in which the district is situated, to\neach franchise taxpayer within the district, and to the Department of Revenue, the\nboundary of his school district. The superintendent of schools in each district in\nwhich any franchise-paying corporation, individual, or group of individuals operates\nshall, on or before the first day of January, 1958, and each year thereafter, furnish to\nthe county clerk, to each franchise taxpayer within the district, and to the\nDepartment of Rev enue, any changes made in the boundary of his school district\nduring the immediately preceding twelve (12) months.\n(2) The engineer of cities of the first class and the city clerk of cities of the home rule\nclass shall notify the county clerk, each franchi se taxpayer within the city, and the\nDepartment of Revenue of their boundaries in the same manner as required of the\nsuperintendent of schools in subsection (1) of this section.\n(3) The responsible governing official or the chairman of the governing body o f any\ntaxing district other than the county, school district, or city shall notify the county\nclerk, each franchise taxpayer within the district, and the Department of Revenue of\ntheir boundaries in the same manner as required of the superintendent of scho ols in\nsubsection (1) of this section.","path":["KRS Chapter 136"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=43803","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:27Z","sha256":"f71aaf85b968661c15837bf1bf6cc3fc4f2cee508990b4401803fbdf6a812094","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-136.188","next":"us-ky/krs-136.200"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
