{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-138.810","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 138.810","heading":"Definitions for KRS 138.820 to 138.860.","body":"As used in KRS 138.820 to 138.860:\n(1) \"Contaminated waste materials\" means those materials, in solid, liquid or gaseous\nform, which are transported or buried with radioactive wastes;\n(2) \"Department\" means the Department of Revenue;\n(3) \"Person\" includes every natural person, fiduciary, as sociation, state or political\nsubdivision, or corporation;\n(4) \"Processor\" means any person receiving delivery or any person having an interest or\nright of occupancy or use in real property or improvements or any person owning,\noperating or maintaining a r adioactive waste disposal site or facility of\ncontaminated waste materials or radioactive waste materials for processing,\npackaging, storage, disposal, burial or other disposition;\n(5) \"Radioactive waste disposal site or facility\" means any installation co nstructed,\nused or placed in operation primarily for disposing of contaminated waste materials\nor radioactive wastes;\n(6) \"Radioactive wastes\" means any and all material which is radioactive or is\ncontaminated by or with radioactive material including but not limited to any\nstructures used in containing such radioactive wastes; and\n(7) \"Radioactive material\" means any material, solid, liquid or gas, which emits\nradiation spontaneously.","path":["KRS Chapter 138"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=28815","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:31Z","sha256":"f477d58b644b87f350bf84910559d97d23d708c8578dcdca2dd6ec384763c354","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-138.755","next":"us-ky/krs-138.820"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
