{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-13a.040","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 13A.040","heading":"Administrative regulations compiler -- Duties.","body":"The director of the Legislative Research Commission shall appoint an administrative\nregulations compiler who shall:\n(1) Receive administrative regulations, and other documents required to be filed by the\nprovisions of this chapter, tendered for filing;\n(2) Stamp administrative regulations tendered for filing with the time and date of\nreceipt;\n(3) Provide administrative and support services to the subcommittee;\n(4) Maintain a file of administrative regulations and other documents required to be\nfiled by this chapter, for public inspection, with suitable indexes;\n(5) Maintain a file of ineffective administrative regulations;\n(6) Maintain a file of material incorporated by reference, including superseded or\nineffective material incorporated by reference;\n(7) Prepare the Kentucky Administrative Regulations Service;\n(8) Upon request, certify copies of administrative regulations and other documents that\nhave been filed with the regulations compiler;\n(9) Correct errors that do not change the substance of an administ rative regulation,\nincluding but not limited to typographical errors, errors in format, and grammatical\nerrors;\n(10) (a) Change the following items in an administrative regulation in response to a\nspecific written request for a technical amendment submitted by the\nadministrative body if the regulations compiler determines that the requested\nchanges do not affect the scope or  substance of the administrative regulation\nand the changes are provided in accordance with KRS 13A.312(3):\n1. The administrative body's identifying information, including address,\nphone number, fax number, website address, and email address;\n2. Typographical errors, errors in format, and grammatical errors;\n3. Citations to statutes or other administrative regulations if a format\nchange within that statute or administrative regulation has changed the\nnumbering or lettering of parts; or\n4. Other changes in accordance with KRS 13A.312; and\n(b) Notify the administrative body within thirty (30) business days of receipt of a\ntechnical amendment letter the status of the request, including:\n1. Any requested changes that are accepted as technical amendments; and\n2. Any requested changes that are not accepted as technical amendments;\n(11) Refuse to accept for filing administrative regulations, and other documents required\nto be filed by this chapter, that do not conform to the drafting, formatting, or filing\nrequirements established by the provisions of KRS 13A.105, 13A.190(5) to (11),\n13A.220, 13A.222(1), (2), and (3), 13A.230, 13A.280, 13A.312, and 13A.320, and\nnotify the administrative body in writing of the reasons for refusing to accept an\nadministrative regulation for filing;\n(12) Maintain a list of all administrative regulation numbers and the corresponding last\neffective date, based on the information included in the history line of each\nadministrative regulation; and\n(13) Perform other duties required by the Commission or by a legislative committee.","path":["KRS Chapter 13A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56287","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:30Z","sha256":"cbd752ea879bbba717d0a20b9b74efbed757b5a3a476717e89f08d75ab00328d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-13a.032","next":"us-ky/krs-13a.050"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
