{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-13a.2245","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 13A.2245","heading":"Incorporation of code or uniform standard by reference.","body":"(1) An administrative body may incorporate by reference a code or uniform standard if\na federal or state statute:\n(a) Requires or authorizes an administrative body to implement, or a regulated\nentity to comply with, the provisions of that code or uniform standard; and\n(b) Does not set forth the code or uniform standard, or a comprehensive scheme\nof regulation.\n(2) If a code or uniform standard is changed by the administrative body, the\nadministrative body shall:\n(a) Clearly state the provisions in the body of t he administrative regulation that\nare different than those included in the code or uniform standard; and\n(b) File with the regulations compiler a:\n1. Copy of the code or uniform standard;\n2. Summary listing the pages upon which changes have been made; and\n3. Detailed summary of the changes and their effect.\nThe summaries shall be attached to the back of the proposed administrative\nregulation.\n(3) If a federal regulation requires an administrative body to adopt, develop, or\nimplement material of a scientifi c or technical nature that does not lend itself to the\nformat requirements of KRS Chapter 13A, the administrative body may incorporate\nthe material by reference in an administrative regulation as provided by KRS\n13A.2251 and 13A.2255.","path":["KRS Chapter 13A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40712","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:30Z","sha256":"060f5005c462db61343ae0ba20446db9a0bcb3eddd244748fa2b3b5d5fb9ed02","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-13a.224","next":"us-ky/krs-13a.2251"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
