{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-14.255","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 14.255","heading":"Creation of unique Commonwealth  business identification number  --","body":"Cooperation  among  state agencies  in support  of establishment of\none-stop electronic business portal -- Timeline.\n(1) To  help facilitate data sharing between state agencies and as part of the\nongoing establishment of a one-stop electronic business portal, the Secretary\nof State, the Finance and Administration Cabinet, the Cabinet for Economic\nDevelopment, the Education and Labor Cabinet, and the Commonwealth  Office\nof  Technology shall jointly establish a  unique Commonwealth  business\nidentification number which can be used in filings and services provided by the\nbusiness portal.\n(2) By December 31, 2013, the agencies identified in subsection (1) of this section\nshall:\n(a) Recommend  a timeline for implementing the new business identification\nnumbering system for new business filings; and\n(b) Establish a five (5) year timeline for all state agencies to utilize the\nCommonwealth  business identification number to facilitate data sharing\nand continued growth of services provided by the business portal.","path":["KRS Chapter 14"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52324","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:31Z","sha256":"d868df5d10ed0372300873b9ded145c63dc9d0e879e6804ca12f69b18a7b9a73","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-14.250","next":"us-ky/krs-14.260"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
