{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-14.306","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 14.306","heading":"Grounds for cancellation of a program participant's certification -- Notice","body":"of cancellation -- Appeal -- Voluntary withdrawal from program -- Procedure\nto ensure that request for withdrawal is legitimate -- Administrative\nregulations.\n(1) The Secretary of State may cancel certification of a program participant if within\nfourteen (14) days:\n(a) From the date of the program participant changing his or her name, the\nprogram participant fails to notify the Secretary of State that he or she has\nobtained a name change; however, the program participant may reapply under\nhis or her new name; or\n(b) From the date of changing his or her address, the program participant fails to\nnotify the Secretary of State of the change of address.\n(2) The Secretary of S tate shall cancel certification of a program participant who\napplies using false information.\n(3) The Secretary of State shall cancel certification of a program participant who\nrelocates outside the state of Kentucky.\n(4) The Secretary of State shall cance l certification of a program participant who is no\nlonger eligible for the program.\n(5) The Secretary of State shall send notice of certification cancellation to the program\nparticipant. The notice of certification cancellation shall set out the reasons fo r\ncancellation. The program participant has the right to appeal the decision within\nthirty (30) days under procedures established by the Office of the Secretary of State\nby administrative regulation.\n(6) The Secretary of State shall cancel certification of  a program participant who is\nrequired to register as a sex offender.\n(7) A program participant may withdraw from the program by providing the Secretary\nof State with notice of his or her intention to withdraw from the program.
