{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-146.100","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 146.100","heading":"Director of  Division of  Conservation  -- Qualifications --","body":"Compensation  -- Powers -- Duties.\n(1) The secretary of the Energy and Environment Cabinet, with the approval of the\nSoil and Water Conservation Commission  shall appoint a director of the\nDivision of Conservation with experience in professional agricultural activities\nand who shall serve as executive officer for the commission. The director shall\nserve at the will of, and receive compensation as may be determined by the\nsecretary of the Energy and Environment Cabinet with the advice of the Soil\nand Water Conservation Commission. In addition to any other duties assigned\nto him or her by the secretary of the Energy and Environment Cabinet, the\ndirector shall exercise, subject to the approval of the secretary, general\nadministrative supervision over all activities, employees and property of the\ncommission;\n(2) The  secretary of the Energy and Environment Cabinet may  employ other\nofficers, employees, and agents, who shall serve at his or her will as he or she\ndeems  necessary, with the advice of the Soil and  Water Conservation\nCommission,  and shall provide for surety bonds for members,  the director,\nofficers, employees or agents if entrusted with funds or property.","path":["KRS Chapter 146"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46518","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:37Z","sha256":"f26b977438ffb9b159445dcf94e279c36e35239dece468123d93e6b5128816a8","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-146.090","next":"us-ky/krs-146.110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
