{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-146.110","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 146.110","heading":"Powers and functions of Soil and Water Conservation Commission.","body":"(1) The  commission shall have the general power to take any action it may\nconsider necessary or proper to assist soil and water conservation districts,\nagricultural districts, or watershed conservancy districts in carrying out their\nfunctions, powers, duties, and programs in accordance with the provisions of\nKRS  Chapter 262, and for such purpose it may furnish financial and other aid\nto the districts and perform such services for them at their request as may be\npossible under available appropriations and resources;\n(2) The  commission has all the powers and duties formerly possessed by the\nState Soil Conservation Committee;\n(3) The commission shall take any action it may consider necessary or proper in\norder to discharge for the state any of the state's functions, responsibilities, or\nduties relating to flood control, drainage, and other activities with respect to the\nconservation, utilization, or control of soil or water resources;\n(4) The  commission may  request the secretary of the Energy and Environment\nCabinet to promulgate those administrative regulations as may be necessary to\nthe performance of its duties and may enter into and execute any agreements\nor legal instruments that may  be necessary for these purposes, and the\ncommission shall have the authority to acquire necessary supplies, materials,\nand  equipment, and warehousing, servicing, and maintenance facilities for\nequipment.","path":["KRS Chapter 146"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46519","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:37Z","sha256":"03ab071886bc1e09b10652a2aaeede4693b5624af68194b6488a0e6adc022c52","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-146.100","next":"us-ky/krs-146.115"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
