{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-146.230","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 146.230","heading":"Criteria for streams in Wild Rivers System.","body":"Streams which substantially meet the following criteria are eligible for inclusion in the\nWild Rivers System:\nStreams or sections of streams that are essentially free -flowing, with shorelines and\nscenic vistas essentially primitive and unchanged, free from  evidence of the works of\nman, and pleasing to the eye. The waters shall not be polluted beyond feasible correction\nand shall be kept unpolluted once corrected according to standards established by the\nEnergy and Environment Cabinet through the Office of K entucky Nature Preserves. The\narea may provide a high quality fish and wildlife habitat, containing one or more unique\nor rare species for sport or observation. It may provide opportunities for scientific study\nor appreciation of essentially undisturbed ec ological, geologic, or archaeologic\nconditions.
