Nothing\nin KRS 146.220 to 146.360 shall be construed to prohibit that portion of the Red\nRiver between Peck's Branch and Swift Camp Creek from being used to temporarily\ncontain flood waters that may be impounded above the normal sustained p ool level\nof any lake which may be created in the event a dam is constructed on the Red\nRiver near Bowen, Kentucky;\n(3) The Rockcastle River from the Ky. 80 bridge to the backwater of Lake Cumberland.\nNothing in KRS 146.220 to 146.360 shall be construed t o prohibit or interfere with\nthe relocating of Ky. 80, including the construction of a bridge at a point\napproximately 2.35 miles downstream from the existing Ky. 80 bridge;\n(4) The Green River from the eastern boundary of Mammoth Cave National Park\nextending downstream and including only that portion of the river within the\nMammoth Cave National Park;\n(5) The Big South Fork of the Cumberland River from the Tennessee border to Blue\nHerron;\n(6) Martins Fork, Cumberland River from Ky. Highway 987 bridge to th e eastern\nboundary of Cumberland Gap National Park;\n(7) Rock Creek from the White Oak Junction bridge to the Kentucky-Tennessee border;\n(8) Little South Fork, Cumberland River from the backwater of Lake Cumberland (mile\n4.1) to the Kentucky Highway 92 brid ge (mile 14.5) in Wayne and McCreary\ncounties; and\n(9) Bad Branch of Poor Fork, Cumberland River from the headwaters on Pine\nMountain to the Ky. 932 bridge, including the entire watershed drained by all\nstream segments, except for that portion above a poin t 0.1 mile below the existing\nlake on the easternmost fork.","path":["KRS Chapter 146"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=29307","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:37Z","sha256":"b4045b0d372ca0ae058f5c61b4be74e9933ab3631097e48058c50c46c2a5153f","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-146.240","next":"us-ky/krs-146.250"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
