{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-147a.050","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 147A.050","heading":"Area development districts created.","body":"There is hereby created and established in the Commonwealth fifteen (15) area\ndevelopment districts consisting of the following counties:\n(1) Purchase Area Development District which shall include the counties of Ballard,\nCarlisle, Hickman, Fulton, McCracken, Graves, Marshall, and Calloway;\n(2) Pennyrile Area Development District which shall include the counties of\nLivingston, Crittenden, Lyon, Caldwell, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Trigg, Christian and\nTodd;\n(3) Green River Area Development District which shall in clude the counties of Union,\nHenderson, Webster, McLean, Daviess, Ohio and Hancock;\n(4) Barren River Area Development District which shall include the counties of Logan,\nSimpson, Butler, Warren, Edmonson, Hart, Barren, Allen, Metcalfe and Monroe;\n(5) Lincoln Trail Area Development District which shall include the counties of\nBreckinridge, Meade, Grayson, Hardin, Larue, Nelson, Washington, and Marion;\n(6) Jefferson Area Development District which shall include the counties of Bullitt,\nHenry, Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble;\n(7) Northern Kentucky Area Development District which shall include the counties of\nBoone, Kenton, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Owen, Grant and Pendleton;\n(8) Buffalo Trace Area Development District which shall include the c ounties of\nBracken, Mason, Robertson, Fleming and Lewis;\n(9) Gateway Area Development District which shall include the counties of Rowan,\nBath, Montgomery, Menifee, and Morgan;\n(10) Fivco Area Development District which shall include the counties of Greenu p,\nBoyd, Carter, Elliott, and Lawrence;\n(11) Big Sandy Area Development District which shall include the counties of Johnson,\nMagoffin, Martin, Floyd, and Pike;\n(12) Kentucky River Area Development District which shall include the counties of\nWolfe, Owsley, Lee, Breathitt, Leslie, Perry, Knott, and Letcher;\n(13) Cumberland Valley Area Development District which shall include the counties of\nJackson, Rockcastle, Laurel, Clay, Knox, Whitley, Bell, and Harlan;\n(14) Lake Cumberland Area Development District which shall include the counties of\nTaylor, Adair, Green, Casey, Russell, Pulaski, Clinton, Cumberland, Wayne, and\nMcCreary; and\n(15) Bluegrass Area Development District which shall include the counties of Anderson,\nFranklin, Woodford, Mercer, Boyle, Lincoln, Garrard, Jessamine, Fayette, Scott,\nHarrison, Bourbon, Nicholas, Clark, Madison, Powell, and Estill.","path":["KRS Chapter 147A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1652","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:39Z","sha256":"1e50d540d3f2a74b705a31f65c4d5a504325041b522b5dad5f331f82e2cf702c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-147a.040","next":"us-ky/krs-147a.060"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
