{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-147a.100","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 147A.100","heading":"Allocation of funds -- Allocation formula -- Alternative allocation.","body":"(1) The Department for Local Government shall allocate area development district\nfunds appropriated to the Joint Funding Administration Program to the area\ndevelopment districts in accordance with the following formula:\n(a) Seventy  percent (70%) of the total appropriation shall be allocated\nequally among all area development districts;\n(b) Twenty percent (20%) of the total appropriation shall be allocated based\nupon  each area development district's proportionate share of total state\npopulation as identified by the most recent federal decennial census; and\n(c) Ten  percent (10%) of the total appropriation shall be allocated based\nupon  each  area development district's proportionate share of total\nincorporated cities and counties as identified by the records of the\nKentucky Secretary of State's land office at the time of the allocation.\n(2) The  Department for Local Government  shall, upon the unanimous  written\ndirection of all area development districts, reduce the allocation based upon\nproportionate share of total incorporated cities and counties set forth in\nsubsection (1)(c) of this section and instead allocate those funds to provide\nadditional nonfederal dollars to area development districts for the purpose of\nmaximizing federal awards.","path":["KRS Chapter 147A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52150","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:39Z","sha256":"57960bba535a4fc7a774bfaab383659e1a5a5d2b81a23822a94ad507bde1f48d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-147a.090","next":"us-ky/krs-147a.110"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
