{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-147a.310","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 147A.310","heading":"Definitions for KRS 147A.300 to 147A.330.","body":"As used in KRS 147A.300 to 147A.330, unless the context requires otherwise:\n(1) \"Affiliate community foundation\" means a philanthropic foundation organized or\noperating to serve an identified geographic area within the Commonwealth, and\nwhich:\n(a) Is affiliated with a qualified community foundation; and\n(b) Is certified by the commission pursuant to KRS 147A.325;\n(2) \"Commission\" means the Endow Kentucky Commission established in KRS\n147A.330;\n(3) \"County-specific component fund\" means a fund of a qualified  community\nfoundation that is restricted to serve an individual county;\n(4) \"Endowment gift\" means an irrevocable contribution to a permanent endowment\nheld by a qualified community foundation, county -specific component fund, or\naffiliate community foundation;\n(5) \"Fund\" means the community endowment fund established by KRS 147A.315; and\n(6) \"Qualified community foundation\" means a philanthropic foundation organized or\noperating in the Commonwealth that:\n(a) Substantially complies with the national standards for community foundations\nestablished by the National Council on Foundations;\n(b) Is classified as a 501(c)(3) tax -exempt organization by the Internal Revenue\nService; and\n(c) Is certified by the commission pursuant to KRS 147A.325.","path":["KRS Chapter 147A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1667","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:39Z","sha256":"f55e545ec2b35894daeee7dc7379ba848456370d87c363105c8852ed811aac76","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-147a.305","next":"us-ky/krs-147a.315"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
