{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-147a.330","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 147A.330","heading":"Endow Kentucky Commission -- Duties -- Membership -- Meetings.","body":"(1) There is hereby established the Endow Kentucky Commission, which shall be\nresponsible for the planning, implementation, and direction of a strategic and\ncollaborative philanthropic partnership to focus on building endowment funds that\nwill address community needs through community foundations.\n(2) The commission shall be attached to the Department for Local Government for\nadministrative purposes.\n(3) The duties of the commission shall include but not be limited to the following:\n(a) Explore opportunities fo r funding for the community endowment fund\nestablished by KRS 147A.315;\n(b) Consult and advise the Governor and the agencies, departments, boards, and\ncommissions of the Commonwealth, as well as local governments, on matters\npertaining to philanthropy;\n(c) Provide technical assistance to qualified community foundations and affiliate\ncommunity foundations; and\n(d) Review and certify community foundations pursuant to KRS 147A.325.\n(4) The membership of the commission shall consist of:\n(a) The secretary of the  Cabinet for Economic Development, or his or her\ndesignee;\n(b) One (1) citizen member engaged in private rural development philanthropy, or\nwho represents private rural development philanthropic interests, to be\nappointed by the Governor;\n(c) One (1) repre sentative of each community foundation that is organized or\noperating in the Commonwealth and in compliance with the national\nstandards for community foundations established by the National Council on\nFoundations, to be appointed by the Governor; and\n(d) One (1) representative from the area development districts appointed by the\nGovernor from a list of names submitted by the executive directors of the area\ndevelopment districts.\n(5) The Governor shall appoint members for a term of two (2) years, and any mem ber\nmay be reappointed. The members shall designate the chair of the commission from\namong the membership.\n(6) Members shall serve without compensation, but shall be reimbursed for their actual\nexpenses incurred in the performance of commission duties in a ccordance with\nKRS 45.101 and administrative regulations promulgated thereunder.\n(7) The commission shall meet upon the call of the chair, but not less than twice each\nyear.","path":["KRS Chapter 147A"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1671","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:40Z","sha256":"e90fef3bbd85f57a87b451bcb11d42edc04c591d07392e493478569e41aaf739","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-147a.325","next":"us-ky/krs-147b.010"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
