{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-148.001","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 148.001","heading":"Definitions for chapter.","body":"As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:\n(1) \"Department\" means the Department of Parks;\n(2) \"Commissioner\" means the commissioner of parks;\n(3) \"Commission\" means the State Property and Buildings Commission;\n(4) \"Livestock\" means  cattle, sheep, swine, goats, horses, alpacas, llamas,\nbuffaloes, and any other animals of the bovine, ovine, porcine, caprine, equine,\nor camelid species;\n(5) \"Prisoner of war\" means any regularly appointed, enrolled, enlisted, or inducted\nmember  of the military forces of the United States who  was  captured,\nseparated, and incarcerated by an enemy of the United States;\n(6) \"Sanctuary\" means  a place of refuge where  wildlife is maintained and\nprotected from depredation and destruction; and\n(7) \"Wildlife\" means  all living things that are neither human  nor domesticated,\nincluding but not limited to mammals,  reptiles, amphibians, birds, fishes,\ncrustaceans, mollusks, trees, shrubs, vines, wildflowers, and nonflowering\nplants.","path":["KRS Chapter 148"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=46637","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:40Z","sha256":"cf2177a219aaa452666b1a612191aaf3584e1a4a444edcbb49b50811e2ceebe1","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-147b.110","next":"us-ky/krs-148.010"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
