{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-148.011","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 148.011","heading":"Department of Parks created -- Commissioner -- Appointment -- Divisions.","body":"(1) There shall be established in the state government a Department of Parks, a\nstatutory administrative department within the meaning of KRS Chapter 12, the\nexecutive head of which shall be the commissioner of parks.\n(2) The commissioner of parks shall be  appointed by the Governor as provided in KRS\n12.040 for the heads of statutory administrative departments and shall receive an\nannual salary not to exceed the amount provided in KRS 64.640(2) relating to\ncompensation for the heads of other statutory administrative departments.\n(3) The commissioner of parks may establish divisions in accordance with the terms of\nKRS 12.050.\n(4) The heads of the divisions in the Department of Parks shall be appointed by the\ncommissioner of parks in accordance with the provisions of KRS 12.050.","path":["KRS Chapter 148"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1682","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:40Z","sha256":"9b6da5ccefd6025f6f75a695f024af77f62d93f2604fc867382ff8828a22ce78","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-148.010","next":"us-ky/krs-148.020"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
