{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-148.582","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 148.582","heading":"Iraq/Afghanistan War Memorial fund.","body":"(1) The Iraq/Afghanistan War Memorial fund is hereby created as a separate trust fund\nin the State Treasury. The Iraq/Afghanistan War Memorial fund shall consist of\namounts received from appropriations and any other proceeds from gifts, grants,\nfederal funds, or any other funds, both public and private, made available for the\npurposes of KRS 148.580 and this section.\n(2) The Iraq/Afghanistan War Memorial fund shall be administered by the Tourism,\nArts and Heritage Cabinet.\n(3) Amounts deposited in the Iraq/Afgh anistan War Memorial fund shall be used only\nfor the purpose of the establishment of the Iraq/Afghanistan War Memorial as\nprovided in KRS 148.580.\n(4) Notwithstanding KRS 45.229, Iraq/Afghanistan War Memorial fund amounts not\nexpended at the close of a fis cal year shall not lapse but shall be carried forward\ninto the next fiscal year.\n(5) Any interest earnings of the Iraq/Afghanistan War Memorial fund shall become a\npart of the Iraq/Afghanistan War Memorial fund and shall not lapse.\n(6) Moneys deposited in the fund are hereby appropriated for the purposes set forth in\nthis section and shall not be appropriated or transferred by the General Assembly\nfor any other purposes.","path":["KRS Chapter 148"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=40257","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:41Z","sha256":"a2f10c53304dfa625fd2eeddeeb5ec5fc7336411515d9eddb4a62cbcccd94c0d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-148.580","next":"us-ky/krs-148.585"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
