{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-148.620","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 148.620","heading":"Definitions.","body":"Except as otherwise required by the context, the following terms when used in KRS\n148.610 to 148.780 shall be construed respectively to mean:\n(1) \"Commissioner\" means the commissioner of the Department of Parks.\n(2) \"Department\" means the Department of Parks.\n(3) \"System\" means the \"Kentucky Trails System\" as established in KRS 148.610 to\n148.780 and including all trails and trail segments, together with their rights -of-\nway.\n(4) \"Scenic easement\" means a perpetual easement in land which is held for the bene fit\nof the people of Kentucky, is specifically enforceable by its holder or beneficiary,\nand limits or obligates the holder of the servient estate, his heirs, and assigns with\nrespect to their use and management of land and activities conducted thereon, th e\nobject of such limitations and obligations being the maintenance or enhancement of\nthe natural beauty of the land in question or of areas affected by it.\n(5) \"Political subdivision\" means any county, incorporated city, or other political\nsubdivision of the state.","path":["KRS Chapter 148"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1776","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:41Z","sha256":"90c65848d031d94366b7e06657e32c62364d37b643ac750eb5aeb9e5d0db5f98","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-148.610","next":"us-ky/krs-148.630"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
