{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-148.840","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 148.840","heading":"Steering committee to assist in promotion -- Recommendation -- Reports --","body":"Termination.\n(1) The Department of Parks shall establish a steering committee which shall consist\nof:\n(a) The secretary of the Finance and Administration Cabinet, or a designee;\n(b) The Commissioner of Agriculture, or a designee;\n(c) The commissioner of the Department of Parks, or a designee;\n(d) The director of the Agriculture Development Board, or a designee;\n(e) The coordinator of the Kentucky State University Aquaculture Prog ram, or a\ndesignee;\n(f) The chairperson of the horticulture department at the University of Kentucky,\nor a designee; and\n(g) Two (2) members of organizations and associations representing the Kentucky\nfarming community, appointed by the Commissioner of Agriculture.\n(2) The steering committee shall plan and assist in the implementation of the promotion\nprogram identified in KRS 148.830 and 148.835.\n(3) The steering committee shall recommend by October 1, 2011, the structure and\nobjectives of the promotion program identified in KRS 148.830 and 148.835.\n(4) Upon implementation of the promotion program identified in KRS 148.830 and\n148.835, the steering committee shall evaluate the promotion program and submit\nan initial report to the Governor, the secretary of the Finance and Administration\nCabinet, and the Legislative Research Commission no later than July 1, 2012, and\nsubsequent annual reports no later than July 1 of each year thereafter.\n(5) The steering committee shall continue to meet at least once each yea r at a date and\nlocation to be determined by its members to ensure the continuation of the\npromotion program.","path":["KRS Chapter 148"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=39636","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:41Z","sha256":"b073bb9988c7f5341df521ad123bb36a2ec10b5d574dad44df24d481b4a8babc","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-148.835","next":"us-ky/krs-148.850"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
