{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-149.130","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 149.130","heading":"Federal forest reserve appropriations for county roads and schools.","body":"(1) All moneys paid to the state under an Act of Congress of May 23, 1908 (35 Stat.\n260) as amended, and arising from any national forest reserve created in the state by\nthe federal government, shall be paid over to the Finance and Administration\nCabinet and b e turned into the State Treasury. The Finance and Administration\nCabinet shall keep a separate account of all funds so received.\n(2) The treasurer of each county in which there is situated any part of a forest reserve\nowned by the United States shall ascer tain and report to the Finance and\nAdministration Cabinet the name and area of that part of each reserve located in his\ncounty. The Finance and Administration Cabinet shall apportion the amount\nreceived by reason of each reserve among the counties in which  the reserve is\nlocated, according to the area of the reserve in each county. If a fund is received\nfrom a reserve which lies in only one (1) county, it shall all be apportioned to that\ncounty. The Finance and Administration Cabinet shall draw a warrant on  the State\nTreasury in favor of the treasurer of each county for the amount apportioned to that\ncounty.\n(3) The county treasurer shall place one -half (1/2) of the funds to the credit of the\npublic roads of his county and the other half (1/2) shall be distr ibuted among the\nschool districts in the county according to the area of the reserve in each school\ndistrict.","path":["KRS Chapter 149"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1847","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:42Z","sha256":"6ef41ab03abb81f7906181727b8106854c4aea5a72286ceddf02a7d5224a592c","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-149.120","next":"us-ky/krs-149.135"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
