The status re port shall\naddress, at a minimum, timber growth and removal, commercial species\ncomposition, timber quality, market information, forest health, and industry activity.\nThe division shall cooperate with the United States Forest Service in carrying out\nthe provisions of this subsection.\n(2) In order to have accurate, current, and complete information and data, the division\nshall:\n(a) Assist the implementation of the Southern Annual Forest Inventory System by\nsupplying five (5) two-person crews to perform annual data collection;\n(b) Develop and implement annual surveys of mills, landowners, timber buyers,\nand other appropriate entities to determine levels of harvesting and timber and\nlog prices; and\n(c) Use Geographic Information System (GIS) technology and ensu re\ncoordination with statewide GIS efforts.","path":["KRS Chapter 149"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1882","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:42Z","sha256":"9fbfab83cade788aebb8461749d02146dab3adf4131bb146da2d5c654189eb02","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-149.336","next":"us-ky/krs-149.340"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
