{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-149.990","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 149.990","heading":"Penalties.","body":"(1) Any person who violates subsection (2) of KRS 149.040 shall be fined not less than\nfive hundred dollars ($500), or confined in jail for not less than thirty (30) nor more\nthan one hundred (100) days, or both.\n(2) Any physically able resident of this state above the age of eighteen (18) who refuses\nor neglects to assist in extinguishing forest fires, when summoned by a warden as\nauthorized by KRS 149.090(2), and any person who refuses to allow the use of\nrequired equipment or materials authorized by KRS 149. 090(3), shall be fined not\nless than fifty ($50) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500).\n(3) Any person who violates KRS 149.083 shall be fined not less than one hundred\n($100) nor more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or imprisoned for not less than\nninety (90) days nor more than twelve (12) months, or both.","path":["KRS Chapter 149"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1924","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:43Z","sha256":"3eaf828b0f34a3aeaf9dd779e0be0b21c448e7d96e0e2e1d81f165a4d32dfeb6","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-149.680","next":"us-ky/krs-149.991"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
