{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-14a.3-030","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 14A.3-030","heading":"Registered name.","body":"(1) A foreign entity may register its real name, or its real name with any addition\nrequired by KRS 14A.3 -010, if the name is distinguishable upon the records of the\nSecretary of State.\n(2) A foreign entity shall register its real name, or its real name with a ny addition\nrequired by KRS 14A.3 -010, by delivering to the Secretary of State for filing an\napplication setting forth:\n(a) Its real name, or its real name with any addition required by KRS 14A.3-010;\n(b) The state or country of its organization;\n(c) Its form of organization;\n(d) Its principal office address; and\n(e) A brief description of the nature of the business in which it is engaged.\n(3) The name shall be registered for the applicant's exclusive use upon the effective\ndate of the application. A regist ration not renewed as provided in subsection (4) of\nthis section shall expire on the next January 1.\n(4) A foreign entity whose registration is effective may renew it for successive years by\ndelivering to the Secretary of State for filing a renewal applica tion, which complies\nwith the requirements of subsection (2) of this section, between October 1 and\nDecember 31 of the preceding year. The renewal application when filed shall renew\nthe registration for the following calendar year.\n(5) A foreign entity who se registration is effective may thereafter qualify as a foreign\nentity under the registered name or consent in writing to the use of that name by an\nentity thereafter organized under the laws of the Commonwealth or by another\nforeign entity thereafter authorized to transact business in this Commonwealth.
