{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-14a.4-030","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 14A.4-030","heading":"Resignation of registered agent.","body":"(1) A registered agent may resign the appointment by signing and delivering a\nstatement of resignation to the Secretary of State for filing that may also provide\nthat the registered office is discontinued.\n(2) After filing the statement, the Secretary of State  shall mail one (1) copy to the\nregistered office, if not discontinued, and the other copy to the entity or foreign\nentity at its principal office.\n(3) The agency appointment shall be terminated, and the registered office discontinued,\nif so provided, on the earlier of:\n(a) The appointment of a successor registered agent and, if applicable, registered\noffice; or\n(b) The thirty-first day after the date on which the statement of resignation was\nfiled.","path":[],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=36551","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:32Z","sha256":"a95597cf005965eb12f0e715412e9ad934c4cfea29800e9f4ca4fe62d4a456cd","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-14a.4-020","next":"us-ky/krs-14a.4-040"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
