{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-15.264","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 15.264","heading":"General Regulatory Sandbox Advisory Committee -- Members -- Chair --","body":"Expenses -- Meetings.\n(1) The General Regulatory Sandbox Advisory Committee is hereby established for the\npurpose of advising and making recommendations to the Kentucky O ffice of\nRegulatory Relief concerning the implementation and administration of the General\nRegulatory Sandbox Program.\n(2) The advisory committee shall consist of fourteen (14) members as follows:\n(a) Five (5) members representing the business community sh all be appointed by\nthe Attorney General from a list of three (3) names for each position to be\nsubmitted by the following organizations:\n1. Kentucky Chamber of Commerce;\n2. Kentucky Association of Manufacturers;\n3. National Federation of Independent Business;\n4. Kentucky Retail Federation; and\n5. Kentucky Farm Bureau;\n(b) Five (5) members consisting of the cabinet secretary or his or her designee of\nthe following state agencies:\n1. Transportation Cabinet;\n2. Energy and Environment Cabinet;\n3. Cabinet for Economic Development;\n4. Public Protection Cabinet; and\n5. Education and Labor Cabinet;\n(c) One (1) member of the Senate appointed by the President of the Senate and\none (1) member of the minority party in the Senate appointed by the Minority\nFloor Leader in the Senate, who shall serve as ex officio, nonvoting members\nfor the duration of the terms for which they were elected; and\n(d) One (1) member of the House of Representatives appointed by the Speaker of\nthe House of Representatives and one (1) member of the minority party in the\nHouse of Representatives appointed by the M inority Floor Leader in the\nHouse of Representatives, who shall serve as ex officio, nonvoting members\nfor the duration of the terms for which they were elected.\n(3) After the initial appointments, members of the advisory committee who are\nappointed under subsection (2)(a) of this section shall serve a term of four (4) years.\n(4) The Attorney General shall select a chair of the committee on an annual basis.\n(5) Notwithstanding the requirements of subsection (3) of this section, the Attorney\nGeneral may adju st the length of terms of appointments and reappointments to the\ncommittee so that half of the advisory committee is appointed every two (2) years.\n(6) A member of the advisory committee shall not receive compensation or benefits for\nthe member's service, but a member appointed under subsection (2)(a) of this\nsection shall receive per diem and travel expenses consistent with the\nreimbursement policy for state employees.\n(7) A majority of the advisory committee constitutes a quorum for the purpose of\nconducting advisory committee business, and the action of the majority of a quorum\nconstitutes the action of the advisory committee.\n(8) Meetings of the advisory committee shall not be subject to public disclosure\npursuant to the Kentucky Open Meetings Act, KRS 61.805 to 61.850.\n(9) The advisory committee shall be attached to the Office of the Attorney General for\nadministrative purposes.","path":["KRS Chapter 15"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54229","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:33Z","sha256":"4c2ed05621edbdc215408ba10c6971a8c413bac03c1899b1c72f27d4f136cc07","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-15.262","next":"us-ky/krs-15.266"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
