{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-15.268","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 15.268","heading":"General Regulatory Sandbox Program -- Applications.","body":"(1) The General Regulatory Sandbox Program is hereby created within the Kentucky\nOffice of Regulatory Relief to provide relevant information regarding the regulatory\nsandbox program, including informing an applicant whether it may be more suitable\nto apply for the program described in this section or KRS 304.3-705.\n(2) An applicant for the regulatory sandbox may contact the regulatory relief office to\nrequest a consultation regarding the regulatory sandbox before submitting an\napplication.\n(3) An applicant for the regulatory sandbox shall submit to the regulatory relief office:\n(a) The required application fee as determined by the regulatory relief office;\n(b) A written application on a form prescribed by the regulatory relief office that:\n1. Confirms the applicant is subject to the jurisdiction of the state;\n2. Confirms the applicant has established a physical or virtual location in\nthe state, from which the demonstration of an innovative offering will be\ndeveloped and performed and where all required records, d ocuments,\nand data will be maintained;\n3. Contains relevant personal and contact information for the applicant,\nincluding legal names, addresses, telephone numbers, e -mail addresses,\nwebsite addresses, and other information required by the regulatory\nrelief office;\n4. Discloses criminal convictions of the applicant or other participating\npersonnel, if any;\n5. Contains a descriptio n of the innovative offering to be demonstrated,\nincluding statements regarding:\na. How the offering is subject to licensing, legal prohibition, or other\nauthorization requirements outside of the regulatory sandbox;\nb. Each administrative regulation that t he applicant seeks to have\nwaived or suspended while participating in the regulatory sandbox\nprogram;\nc. How the offering would benefit consumers;\nd. How the offering is different from other offerings available in the\nstate;\ne. What risks might exist for c onsumers who use or purchase the\noffering;\nf. How participating in the regulatory sandbox would enable a\nsuccessful demonstration of the offering;\ng. A description of the proposed demonstration plan, including\nestimated time periods for beginning and endin g the\ndemonstration;\nh. Recognition that the applicant will be subject to administrative\nregulations pertaining to the applicant's offering after conclusion\nof the demonstration; and\ni. How the applicant will end the demonstration and protect\nconsumers if the demonstration fails; and\n6. Lists each governmental agency, if any, that the applicant knows\nregulates the applicant's business; and\n(c) Any other required information that the regulatory relief office deems\nnecessary.\n(4) An applicant shall file a sep arate application for each innovative offering that the\napplicant wishes to demonstrate.\n(5) A person shall not be eligible to make an application under this section if the person\nis seeking regulatory relief that is available under KRS 304.3-700 to 304.3-735.","path":["KRS Chapter 15"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54231","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:33Z","sha256":"bec2c5f9fab09936d314969880be02082e5a7bd00e6394e5e3fdbc6aaab73808","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-15.266","next":"us-ky/krs-15.270"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
