{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-15.706","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 15.706","heading":"Prosecutors Advisory Council to collect data on sexual offenses involving","body":"minors.\n(1) The Prosecutors Advisory Council shall collect statistical data regarding the\ninvestigation, prosecution, dismissal, conviction, or acquittal of any person  charged\nwith committing, attempting to commit, or complicity to a sexual offense defined\nby KRS Chapter 510 involving a minor, human trafficking offenses involving a\nminor engaged in commercial sexual activity or forced labor, incest involving a\nminor, us e of a minor in a sexual performance, or unlawful transaction with a\nminor.\n(2) Each Commonwealth's attorney, each county attorney, the secretary of the Cabinet\nfor Health and Family Services, the commissioner of the Department of Kentucky\nState Police, ea ch Circuit Court clerk, and the Administrative Office of the Courts\nshall provide any data requested by the council for this purpose, on a form\nprescribed by the council, at intervals as the council may direct.\n(3) The council may contract with any other p ublic agency to collect the data in lieu of\ncollecting the data itself.\n(4) The Prosecutors Advisory Council may promulgate administrative regulations to\nspecify information to be reported.\n(5) The information required to be reported by this section shall be provided by each\nCommonwealth's attorney and county attorney at the end of each quarter of the\ncalendar year or as otherwise directed by the Prosecutors Advisory Council.\n(6) The Prosecutors Advisory Council and the Office of the Attorney General shall\ncompile the information by county and issue a public report at least annually.\n(7) The public report shall not contain the name or identifying information of a victim\nor person not formally charged with the commission of child sexual abuse or human\ntrafficking of a child. Information collected by the Commonwealth's attorney or\ncounty attorney or by the Prosecutors Advisory Council containing data which\ncannot be published shall be excluded from inspection, unless by court order, from\nthe Open Records Law.\n(8) Any Commonwealth's attorney or any county attorney who fails to report\ninformation as defined by this section or administrative regulation shall be subject\nto salary reduction as authorized by KRS 61.120.","path":["KRS Chapter 15"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54879","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:48:34Z","sha256":"0aaa2503e39d050ef8860d6cabd9f958ad0d89e3b189cbe9ae6455bdb0c362da","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-15.705","next":"us-ky/krs-15.707"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
