{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-150.023","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 150.023","heading":"Meetings and functions of commission.","body":"(1) The members of the commission shall meet in Frankfort, quarterly, upon a date to\nbe determined and fixed by the commissioner, or as often as may be necessary for\nthe transaction of business, upon reasonable notice to each member of such\nmeetings. Committees created by the commission may meet as often as necessary to\nconduct their assigned business at locations throughout the Commonwealth.\nCommittees must provide public notice of each meeting including date, time, and\nlocation information. Public notice shal l be provided no less than seven (7) days\nbefore the meeting date.\n(2) The commission shall at all times keep a watchful eye upon the Department of Fish\nand Wildlife Resources, and advise the commissioner to take such action as may be\nbeneficial to the dep artment and in the interest of wildlife and conservation of\nnatural resources.\n(3) The commissioner, with the approval of the commission, shall authorize such\nscientific and other studies as he deems necessary, and shall collect, classify and\ndisseminate s uch statistics, data and information as in his discretion will tend to\npromote the objects of this chapter.\n(4) The commissioner, with the approval of the commission, shall have the exclusive\npower to expend for the protection, conservation, propagation an d restoration, and\ntaking and harvesting of all wildlife all funds of the state acquired for the\nprotection, conservation, propagation or restoration of all wildlife arising from\nlicenses, gifts or otherwise.","path":["KRS Chapter 150"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=48914","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:43Z","sha256":"64a94568a9d3247576dd369db0e5b83207f7329fb5ac69adf52fb1972a39507d","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-150.022","next":"us-ky/krs-150.024"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
