{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-150.025","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 150.025","heading":"Power of department to make administrative regulations as to game and","body":"fish, including seasons and limits -- Inclusion of administrative regulations on\ndepartment's website.\n(1) In carrying out the provisions of this chapter the department may , by administrative\nregulations promulgated under the provisions of KRS Chapter 13A:\n(a) Fix, close, terminate, shorten, or divide open season, or make open seasons\nconditional;\n(b) Regulate bag or creel limits and possession limits;\n(c) Regulate buying, selling, or transporting;\n(d) Regulate the size or type of any device used for taking, and regulate any\nmethod of taking;\n(e) Regulate or restrict the places where taking is permitted;\n(f) Regulate taking, or the opening or closing of seasons, in waters in which the\ndepartment is conducting experiments or making improvements for the\npurpose of promoting the conservation of wildlife and increasing the supply\nthereof;\n(g) Regulate water safety enforcement as provided in KRS Chapter 235;\n(h) Make administrative regulations apply to a limited area or to the entire state;\nand\n(i) Promulgate any other administrative regulations reasonably necessary to\nimplement or carry out the purposes of this chapter.\n(2) The commissioner shall cause the text of every administrative regulation to be made\navailable electronically on the department's website within five (5) working days of\nfiling. The commissioner shall also cause to be prepared news releases concerning\nall new or amended administrative regulations for distribution to radio, television,\nand newspaper media.\n(3) This section shall apply to KRS Chapter 150 and no other KRS chapter pertaining\nto this subject shall apply to KRS Chapter 150.","path":["KRS Chapter 150"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=55355","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:43Z","sha256":"d8312a58df5a6a258e2c85f65d38cfb87b59a1120e7f7c179acf3b4b6a8ecb62","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-150.0242","next":"us-ky/krs-150.026"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
