{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-150.092","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 150.092","heading":"Consent requirement for entry upon lands of another person -- Private","body":"lands incentive programs -- Arrest and citation authority.\n(1) Persons shall not enter upon the lands of another to shoot, hunt, trap, or fish, or for\nother wildlife-related recreational purposes, without the oral or written permission\nof the landowner, tenant, or person who has authority to grant permission.\n(2) The department may promulgate administrative regulations pursuant to KRS\nChapter 13A to establish private lands incentive programs encouraging voluntary\naccess to private lands for hunting, fishing, or other wildlife -related recreation,\nwhile at the same time protecting the rights of private property owners. Participation\nin these programs shall not waive any protection grant ed to the landowner by KRS\n150.645 or 411.190.\n(3) A fish and wildlife law enforcement officer may arrest or issue a citation to any\nperson who is in violation of this section or the administrative regulations adopted\nthereunder.\n(4) Persons who enter upon the lands of another to shoot, hunt, trap, or fish, or for other\nwildlife-related recreational purposes, shall not, through their actions, cause damage\nto any buildings, fences, crops, livestock or domestic animals, machinery, or other\nproperty while upon these lands.\n(5) Nothing in this section shall be construed to limit the existing powers of peace\nofficers.","path":["KRS Chapter 150"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=1953","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:43Z","sha256":"ee34470090e6180436018b206c171b808963ec881fb66d5422ae73b982ad6295","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-150.091","next":"us-ky/krs-150.095"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
