{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-150.625","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 150.625","heading":"Highway construction lakes.","body":"(1) The Department of Highways is authorized to construct fills, made necessary by\nroad construction, so that such will impound water.\n(2) The Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources and the Department of Highways\nshall decide whether the creation of a lake in any one (1) particular spot is deemed\nreasonable and beneficial. The Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources shall do\neverything necessary to insure good fishing and may regulate boating and other\nrecreational interest so that there may be the least amount of interference.\n(3) The Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources may, if the site is suitable, assist\nthe local party or parties in obtaining deeds or easements where necessary.\nInterested local parties may obtain title to excess land required and deed it to the\nCommonwealth for creation of a public fishing lake.
