{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-150.720","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 150.720","heading":"Administrative regulations relating to cervids -- Costs resulting from","body":"importation of diseased animal.\n(1) The Department of Agriculture in cooperation with the Department of Fish and\nWildlife Resources shall promulgate administrative regulations pert aining to health\nrequirements, eradication of diseases, importation and unique individual\nidentification, including visual identification tags, of privately owned and farm\nraised cervids maintained for the production of meat and other products. Nothing in\nthis section shall limit the authority of the Department of Fish and Wildlife\nResources to regulate the unique individual identification, including visual\nidentification, of captive cervids that are not privately owned and farm -raised\ncervids maintained fo r the production of meat and other products. The Department\nof Fish and Wildlife Resources, in cooperation with the Department of Agriculture,\nshall promulgate administrative regulations pertaining to the holding of cervids.\n(2) If any person imports a dis eased animal into the Commonwealth in violation of the\nstatutes and administrative regulations, then that person shall be responsible to the\nDepartment of Agriculture and the Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources for\nall costs incurred in the investigation, response, and eradication of that disease.","path":["KRS Chapter 150"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=2061","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:45Z","sha256":"7971e5a5a9857629289e72e382dd063515ed9aca48b127b69344720726a1a6af","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-150.710","next":"us-ky/krs-150.722"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
