{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-151.035","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 151.035","heading":"Official repository for groundwater information.","body":"(1) The Kentucky Geological Survey shall be designated as the Commonwealth's\nofficial repository for all information relating to the occurrence and quality of\ngroundwater as defined in KRS 151.100.\n(2) The Energy and Environment Cabinet, the Cabinet for Health  and Family Services,\nand any other cabinet, department, commission, board, or governmental agency,\nexcept as provided in subsection (4) of this section, that, by statute, administrative\nregulation, or as part of its routine activities, collects or generates information about\ngroundwater, shall transmit or cause to be transmitted that information to the\nKentucky Geological Survey within ninety (90) days of receipt or generation, or a\ntime determined between the Geological Survey and the other party.\n(3) The information to be transmitted may include:\n(a) Drillers logs and completion reports of wells drilled or dug for the purpose of\nproducing, testing, or monitoring groundwater;\n(b) Geophysical logs of water wells;\n(c) Water quality analyses of both organic and inorganic constituents;\n(d) Results of all pump, extraction, and injection tests;\n(e) Flow determinations of surface discharges of groundwater; and\n(f) Any additional data as the Kentucky Geological Survey shall require.\n(4) All institutions of higher learning shall be encouraged, but not required, to submit to\nthe Kentucky Geological Survey copies of all research data, including theses and\ndissertations relating to the occurrence or quality of groundwater.","path":["KRS Chapter 151"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=2074","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:45Z","sha256":"1402fb6063b345fe2f6b43163499f8571bdfd6d0648090357826879b176011f3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-151.030","next":"us-ky/krs-151.040"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
