{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-151.240","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 151.240","heading":"Surveys of project on behalf of state.","body":"On its own initiative or when so directed by the Governor, the cabinet shall make a\npreliminary survey and report of any project which involves or might involve expenditure\nof state funds or construction work by the State of Kentucky in the construction,\nreconstruction, or maintenance of any flood control works or other works concerning or\naffecting the development of water resources. If the cabinet, with the approval of the\nGovernor, finds from such preliminary survey that the project is not favorable, no further\naction shall be taken on such project without specific instructions or authorization by the\nGeneral Assembly. If the cabinet finds from such preliminary survey that such project is\nfavorable on a basis of need, economic value or future development,  it shall, with the\napproval of the Governor, cause a comprehensive final survey and report to be prepared,\nand submit such report to the Governor for approval and authority to perform the\nnecessary construction work.","path":["KRS Chapter 151"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=2100","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:45Z","sha256":"15c28ed2bad911e9e29845a1112ff52d2871623fa13495d3be14fb387ee49547","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-151.232","next":"us-ky/krs-151.250"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
