{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-151.280","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 151.280","heading":"Commencement of preparations for project without permit prohibited --","body":"Deviation from approved plans.\n(1) Any person, county, city or other political subdivision of the state who shall begin\non the site preparation for the construction, reconstruction,  relocation or\nimprovement of any project prior to the issuance of the permit required in KRS\n151.250 shall be considered as commencing without a permit and punishable by\npenalties provided in KRS 151.990.\n(2) Whenever plans and specifications have been ap proved in writing and a permit\nissued by the cabinet, no person, city, county, or other political subdivision shall\ndeviate from the approved plans in the construction, reconstruction, relocation or\nimprovement unless such change is submitted in writing to  the cabinet and prior\napproval is received from the cabinet in writing before proceeding with the work.\nAny substantial deviation from the approved plans shall be construed as\ncommencing without a permit and punishable by the penalties provided in KRS\n151.990.","path":["KRS Chapter 151"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=2104","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:45Z","sha256":"534d4e25aed4ee8212456667523c0399f5a09f49536cdb5e2da0040b1d33ce9a","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-151.270","next":"us-ky/krs-151.290"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
