{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-151.603","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 151.603","heading":"Consistency of each council's long -range water supply plan with other","body":"provisions of law -- Contents of plan -- Function of planning councils.\n(1) Each water management planning council shall develop and maintain a plan\nconsistent with the cou nty long -range water supply plan developed under KRS\n151.114 and the water supply planning process set out in KRS Chapter 151 and\nadministrative regulations of the cabinet and the purposes set out in KRS 224A.300.\nThe plan shall include a water needs forec ast for the county in five (5) year\nincrements within a twenty -five (25) year planning cycle with the first cycle\nbeginning in 2025. The plan shall include a strategy for improving reliability and\nresiliency of water service, delivering public water to und erserved and unserved\nareas, and shall consider merger, consolidation, and management of water systems\nto achieve the purposes set out in KRS 224A.300. The Energy and Environment\nCabinet, in collaboration with the authority as agreed upon in the State Revo lving\nFund Memorandum of Agreement, may disapprove and direct redevelopment of a\nplan under this subsection for inconsistencies with the purposes set out in KRS\n224A.300.\n(2) The water management planning councils or multicounty planning councils shall\nassume the role and function of the planning units established to implement the\nwater supply planning process set out in KRS 151.114 and administrative\nregulations of the cabinet.","path":["KRS Chapter 151"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54169","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:45Z","sha256":"38ce2abbb532cd6d3e51c0c3debb4429024db329be8cf1b31e8ff58d877f6007","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-151.601","next":"us-ky/krs-151.605"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
