{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-151.607","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 151.607","heading":"Annual review and prioritization of planning councils' plans.","body":"(1) After July 1, 2001, and annually thereafter, each area development district shall\nreview and prioritize the planning councils' plans for underserved and unserved\nareas within t he water management area for that district. The review and\nprioritization shall be conducted with the assistance and input of the authority and\nthe water management councils for the counties or multicounty areas within a water\nmanagement area. These priori tization plans shall be submitted to the authority for\nreview and approval. The authority may suggest changes necessary for the purpose\nof qualifying for financial assistance from the water service account of the\nKentucky Infrastructure Authority.\n(2) Factors to be considered in prioritizing the plans for underserved and unserved\nareas within a water management area include:\n(a) The current and potential customer base that would benefit from water\nservice;\n(b) The adequacy, cost -effectiveness, and dependabi lity of water sources, water\ntreatment capacity, and distribution lines that may be used to provide water\nservice; and\n(c) The potential to consolidate or merge management or operations to provide\nefficient and affordable services.","path":["KRS Chapter 151"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=54171","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:45Z","sha256":"4db966c4e67c07f7f74630f9c7dea8b5ece3160cf09173207b8d321a29dac683","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-151.605","next":"us-ky/krs-151.610"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
