{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-151.660","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 151.660","heading":"Contributions by local governments -- State appropriation requests.","body":"(1) The various counties, towns, and incorporated municipalities which are members of\nthe authority may contribute to the work of the authority any amounts of money that\ntheir respective governing bodies, acting in their sole discretion, shall approve to be\npaid from the general fund of the respective county or city. Governing bodies of\nmember local governments in Kentucky may levy any tax for this purpose not in\nconflict with the statutes of this state.\n(2) No later than October of each year, the authority may  transmit to the Governors of\nthe Commonwealth of Kentucky and the State of Tennessee a request and an\namount of appropriation needed during the next fiscal year for purposes of the\nauthority including administration, operations, and capital improvements, and\nappropriate justification for use of the appropriation, the amount or other amount\ndeemed appropriate by the Governor to be included in the budget transmitted to the\nKentucky or Tennessee General Assembly.","path":["KRS Chapter 151"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=2156","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:46Z","sha256":"da5e6ee6d37ebd2449430395c6c2c32337a3017a4a208d2f9bdbdc89ed91e819","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-151.658","next":"us-ky/krs-151.662"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
