{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-151b.138","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 151B.138","heading":"Eligible workforce training programs -- Approval and implementation","body":"under federal Workforce Pell Grants.\n(1) As used in this section, \"eligible workforce training programs\" means programs that\nmeet applicable requirements in section 83002 of Pub. L. No. 119-21.\n(2) The Governor, in consultation with the Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board,\nshall:\n(a) Approve all eligible workforce training programs for purposes of federal\nWorkforce Pell Grants; and\n(b) Coordinate approval of eligible workforce tr aining programs with other state\nand federal workforce programs to avoid duplicative payments for the same\nstudent costs that are covered by federal Workforce Pell Grants.\n(3) The Kentucky Workforce Innovation Board shall establish an internal procedure to:\n(a) Determine if a program meets the applicable federal requirements to be an\neligible workforce training program; and\n(b) Ensure that the implementation of this section does not impose requirements\nmore restrictive than, or inconsistent with, any applic able federal rules or\nregulations governing Workforce Pell Grants.","path":["KRS Chapter 151B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=56889","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:46Z","sha256":"e812103d03e5a2125c61520c15b2c35bafa288c6636faaa640c67b247a3146f0","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-151b.136","next":"us-ky/krs-151b.140"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
