{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-151b.450","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 151B.450","heading":"Definitions for KRS  151B.450 to 151B.475.","body":"As used in KRS 151B.450 to 151B.475, unless the context requires otherwise:\n(1) \"Assistive technology\" means  any item, piece of equipment, or device that\nenables an individual with a disability to improve his or her independence and\nquality of life;\n(2) \"Board\" means  the board of directors of the Kentucky Assistive Technology\nLoan Corporation;\n(3) \"Cabinet\" means the Education and Labor Cabinet;\n(4) \"Corporation\" means  the Kentucky Assistive Technology Loan Corporation\ncreated under KRS 151B.455;\n(5) \"Fund\" means the Kentucky assistive technology loan fund created under KRS\n151B.470;\n(6) \"Qualified borrower\" means  an individual with a disability that affects a major\nlife activity such as mobility, sensory and  cognitive communications, or\nself-care, a parent or legal guardian of an individual with a disability, or a\nnonprofit organization that provides assistive technology to individuals with\ndisabilities who  meet the criteria for participating in the Kentucky assistive\ntechnology loan fund; and\n(7) \"Qualified lender\" means  a financial lending institution or other qualified\norganization contracted with by the corporation to provide loans for the\npurchase of assistive technology.","path":["KRS Chapter 151B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52350","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:47Z","sha256":"d49292dbf53c7ce28273c5c8bf87e82d2d88b3929317ade86430cc40ee329602","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-151b.420","next":"us-ky/krs-151b.455"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
