{"data":{"id":"us-ky/krs-151b.470","jurisdiction":"us-ky","citation":"KRS 151B.470","heading":"Assistive technology loan fund established -- Use -- Administration.","body":"(1) There is established in the State Treasury a permanent and perpetual fund to\nbe known as the assistive technology loan fund, consisting of moneys that may\nbe  appropriated by the General Assembly, gifts, bequests, endowments, or\ngrants from the United States government, its agencies and instrumentalities,\nand any other available sources of funds, public and private. Any fund balance\nat the close of a fiscal year shall not lapse but shall be carried forward to the\nnext fiscal year, and moneys  in the fund shall be continuously appropriated\nonly for the purposes specified in this section. Interest and income earned from\nthe investment of funds shall remain in the fund and be credited to it.\n(2) The  fund shall be used to provide loans to qualified borrowers within the\nCommonwealth  for the purpose of acquiring assistive technology designed to\nhelp individuals with disabilities become  more independent. Loans shall be\nmade  to qualified borrowers through qualified lenders with the fund being used\nas appropriate to negotiate reduced interest rates, to buy down interest rates,\nand to provide loan guarantees.\n(3) The fund shall be under the administrative control of the board.\n(4) If the corporation is dissolved, any unencumbered moneys appropriated by the\nGeneral Assembly remaining in the fund shall revert to the general fund, and\nany other unencumbered  moneys  shall be transferred to the Education and\nLabor Cabinet to be expended for programs and services for Kentuckians with\ndisabilities.","path":["KRS Chapter 151B"],"source_url":"https://apps.legislature.ky.gov/law/statutes/statute.aspx?id=52353","current_through":"Includes enactments through the 2026 Regular Session","vintage":"09/05/2026","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T20:50:47Z","sha256":"e37040f3b8decbbafdc99f821ca209a404dfb81c80a935e62daf4d527f6cf6e3","source_id":"us-ky","stale":false,"prev":"us-ky/krs-151b.465","next":"us-ky/krs-151b.475"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
